Remember Fyre Festival? The luxury music festival that turned into a total disaster? Yeah, that one.

Well, Billy McFarland, the guy behind it all, tried to bring it back. Fyre Festival 2, they called it. And guess what?

    It’s been postponed. Again.

    Wait, What Happened This Time?

People who shelled out money for tickets got an email. The gist? The festival, supposed to be in Mexico, isn’t happening on the planned dates.

A refund is coming, they said. If you still want to go when (if? ) they announce a new date, you can buy tickets again.

    Sound familiar? It should.

    Fool Me Once. ..

McFarland, you might recall, went to prison for the original Fyre Fest fiasco. Wire fraud, among other things. But he insisted he was serious about making Fyre Festival 2 a reality.

“I know people think I’m crazy,” he said when tickets went on sale. “But I’d be crazy not to do it again. ”

    Famous last words, right?

    Red Flags Everywhere

Even before the official postponement, things looked shaky. Officials in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, said they had no record of the event.

McFarland claimed he was working with the government. He even posted screenshots of what he said were email exchanges. But still. ..

    Third Time’s the. .. Charm?

This isn’t even the first attempt at a Fyre Festival reboot. There was a boat party in the Hamptons that got canned. Then another festival planned for the Caribbean in December 2024. Also canceled.

Is it crazy to try again? Maybe. Is it crazy to buy a ticket? You tell me.
