Elon Musk. Love him or hate him, he’s always got something interesting to say. Recently, he sat down with Senator Ted Cruz to talk about everything from Dogecoin to the future of AI. And, naturally, the conversation took some unexpected turns.

One big prediction? Musk thinks AI will be brighter than any human brain within the next ten years. Heavy stuff.

But what really caught my attention was when Cruz asked Musk about the smartest CEOs out there. His answer? Well, let’s just say it might surprise you, especially considering some of his past feuds.

    Bezos Gets a Nod

Remember the Bezos-Musk rivalry? The one that played out on Twitter and in the headlines for years? Yeah, that one. Turns out, Musk has a lot of respect for the Amazon founder.

“To some degree, smart is as smart does,” Musk said. Simple, right? He went on to explain that it’s about what you’ve actually accomplished. What hard, meaningful things have you brought to life? And according to Musk, Bezos has done plenty.

Think about it. Building Amazon into the empire it is today? Launching Blue Origin? Those are pretty significant achievements.

    Who Else Made the Cut?

Bezos wasn’t the only one on Musk’s list. He also gave shout-outs to:

    • Larry Page: The Google co-founder. Musk clearly respects Page’s vision and leadership.
    • Larry Ellison: The Oracle mastermind. Musk called him “one of the smartest people” he knows. High praise.

    What Does It All Mean?

Musk’s picks aren’t just about IQ. It’s about action. It’s about taking on big challenges and actually making something happen. It’s about building something that lasts.

And let’s be honest, all these guys have definitely done that.

It makes you wonder, doesn’t it? What does it *really* mean to be smart? And how do you measure success?
